Calvin Pate is the CEO of Harrison Contracting Company, a national leader in commercial painting. With a blue-collar work ethic and a founder’s mindset, Calvin has built a reputation for taking jobs personally, doing things the right way, and never settling for “good enough.” He leads the company with a relentless focus on improvement, accountability, and staying true to Harrison’s core values: Image, Diligence, Responsibility, and Uncompromising.  He’s passionate about ensuring that HCC is the Benchmark in the Commercial Painting Industry.

Under Calvin’s leadership, Harrison Contracting has grown into a trusted partner for brands nationwide—not by chasing quick wins, but by asking better questions, building stronger teams, and delivering results that last. Whether he’s mentoring the next generation, helping a client solve a complex challenge, or rolling up his sleeves alongside the team, Calvin leads with purpose and authenticity.

Outside of work, Calvin is a dedicated family man who enjoys spending time outdoors, camping, and sports – Go Gators!!  He’s also very committed to the industry – his efforts with PCA, CPIA, Construction Ready and Skills USA are helping lead the industry into the future.

Chris joined Harrison Contracting in 2008, bringing with him 15+ years’ experience in Sales and Management specific to the paint industry. As a former student of Civil Engineering at Southern Polytechnic, Chris is passionate about constantly improving processes for both the company and our clients. In 2022, Chris became Chief Operating Officer (COO) and now oversees our operational strategy across administrative and field functions, promoting customer satisfaction and retention. His experience in field sales and operational management are paramount to HCC success. When not working, Chris loves spending time with his wife, dogs, and working on cars.

Juan joined the Harrison Contracting team in 2001 as a painter. He rapidly progressed to Foreman and General Superintendent over the entire painting division. Juan’s knowledge of field operations, people skills, and attention to detail, moved him into his current role as Director of Field Operations. In this capacity, Juan is responsible for driving the strategy and execution of all our paint crews and field leadership ensuring efficient and safe project completion. He is an integral part of the continued growth at Harrison Contracting. Juan is passionate about family and his sons football career.

Krystle began her journey with Harrison Contracting Company in 2011 as a receptionist. Through hard work, a sharp eye for improvement, and a deep understanding of the business, she quickly advanced through roles in administration and operations, ultimately stepping into her current role as Strategic Innovations Director.

In this position, Krystle leverages her organizational strengths, industry insight, and strategic mindset to drive progress in policy development, process optimization, and execution across the company. She plays a key role in shaping internal systems that support Harrison’s continued growth and operational excellence.

A passionate advocate for women in the trades, Krystle leads the charge on HCC’s women in business initiatives and serves on the Board of Directors for the NAWIC Atlanta Chapter, helping to elevate voices and create opportunities for women across the construction industry.

Outside of work, Krystle is a proud mom of two remarkable young men—one a professional bull rider competing across the country, and the other a college student on the path to law school. Her ability to balance career, leadership, and motherhood with grit and grace is a reflection of the same drive she brings to everything she does.

Sean joined Harrison Contracting Company in June 2018. With more than 35 years of experience in the paint industry, he has worked in several sales and marketing leadership roles. Sean’s works to further develop HCC marketing strategy through enhanced customer relationships, relevant marketing/branding tools, and B2B implementation. Sean’s customer-focused background enables Harrison Contracting to continue building more relevant and long-standing customer partnerships and retention. Sean enjoys time with family, golfing, and active church life.

Matt joined HCC in 2024 as Director of Finance. He brings 27+ years’ experience in Finance/Accounting, with a decade of that in the Construction industry as either Controller or CFO. Matt has a BBA in Accounting from Millsaps College, where he also played NCAA Division III soccer. He holds both the CPA and CMA (Certified Management Accountant) designations.

Matt loves all sports, but is an extremely avid college football fan, with dual loyalty to the Clemson Tigers and Texas Longhorns. Outside of work, Matt spends almost all his time with his wife, Beth, and his Pembroke Welsh Corgi, Bandit. He enjoys cooking, golfing, painting and drawing, working in the yard, traveling and watching true crime television shows.

Professionally, Matt’s passion lies in building a value-adding finance team through automation, standardization and training, continuous process improvement, developing people and optimally leveraging technology.

Over 20 years ago, ‘Scotty’ joined the HCC team as a Foreman. He quickly advanced to Superintendent, then General Superintendent, before stepping into his current role as Director of Safety and Quality Assurance. In this role, Scott oversees the safety team to ensure HCC safety and quality standards through jobsite inspections visiting hundreds of projects every year. In a typical month, Scotty may travel in excess of 50 hours in his dedicated HCC airplane. This intentional investment by the company ensures his feet are on the ground to conduct site inspections that uphold HCC’s standards. Additionally, Scott and the safety team lead the entire organization through our annual Safety Day, a hands-on, instructional “university” reviewing multiple safety practices and processes. When not at work, Scott enjoys hunting with his favorite bird-dog, Hunter.

Bill has lived in the Villa Rica area most of his life, beginning his career as a painter’s helper in the same field as his father, Deryl (1945-2000). In 1995, Bill and Deryl co-founded Harrison Contracting Company, Inc. Bill continued to grow in the painting business, holding various positions including Foreman, Superintendent, and Project Manager and in 2000, Bill became President. He prides himself on being a hands-on leader, driving our reputation in the industry by ensuring our “do what we say we will do” culture drives customer satisfaction. Bill is an avid race fan and has a passion for car collecting, refurbishment, and motorsports racing.
